Raymond Constantine Sidorsky

Raymond C Sidorsky passed away on May 12 in Alexandria, VA.  He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 70 years Phyllis in Alexandria and their daughter Erica Sidorsky in Baker, WV.

Born on August 11, 1928 in Bristol, Pennsylvania, he became a research psychologist.  He obtained his Masters and Doctorate (1954) in Psychology at the Ohio State University where he was a Research Fellow at the OSU Laboratory of Aviation Psychology.  He served in the Army including as a 1stLt. at the Army Medical Research Laboratory in Fort Knox, Ky and joined General Dynamics in 1957 where he became Head of the Human Factors Section at Electric Boat Division in Groton, CT.  Later he moved to the U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences in Alexandria, VA, authoring numerous technical articles on human performance in military systems dealing with computer entry, decisionmaking and battlefield data. 

He especially loved woodworking at his home in Old Town Alexandria, traveling the globe and all over the U.S. with his family, and spending summers at the cabin in Baker, WV.
